Giraffe Love Pen Sketch Illustration by Heidi Piercy for Draw For Animals charity art auction to raise money for Chester Zoo

Giraffe Love Sketch for Draw For Animals Charity Art Auction

I heard about Draw For Animals when one of my Twitter friends (the brilliant illustrator Daniela Faber) tweeted about it to see if other artistic folk would be interested in being involved. Organised by Sean Webster  and Sheryl Webster, Draw For Animals is a charity art auction to raise money for Chester Zoo. They are asking for artists to send in an A4 piece of their artwork, which will then be auctioned online on the 1st August.

I wanted to produce a piece of art specifically for this, rather than send them something I’d already done and I settled on doing a pen sketch of my Giraffe Love design, that I originally drew digitally for my friend who loves giraffes to celebrate her engagement to the man of her dreams. I am a big fan of doing pen sketches and I really loved working on this illustration…even if I did go a bit dotty after a few hours drawing giraffe dots! 🙂

Now my sketch is done I’m looking forward to getting it sent off and seeing how it does in the auction…if you want to get your hands on this illustration make sure you join in the bidding!
